Sausage Wontons

An easy snack fix for a crowd.

  • 15 pieces Green chilies - chopped
  • 120 gms Cream Cheese
  • 150 gms Tomatoes - diced
  • 0.5 cup Shredded cheese
  • 500 gms Crescent sausages, cooked and chopped

Outer Shell

  • 36 pieces Wonton Wrappers


  1. Preheat oven to 180° degrees celcius.
  2. Mix cooked Crescent chicken sausage, cream cheese, diced tomatoes and chilies in a bowl.
  3. Carefully place the wonton shells into mini-muffin pan and press down carefully on the sides and bottom.
  4. Bake the empty shells for 5 minutes till they turn slightly crisp. Remove from the oven.
  5. With a spoon or small scoop, place a small amount of sausage filling into each baked wonton shell.
  6. Top with a small amount of shredded cheese.
  7. Bake for an  additional 5 minutes. Allow to cool prior to serving. 

Recipe notes

-  Use shredded cheddar (mature if possible) for a deep flavour

- Reduce chiies for a less spicy wonton

- You can add herbs like parsley or dill for flavour
